Report a Concern
During the 2014 budget process, the City Council approved a new program that will modernize and streamline the way the City's concerns, requests, code enforcement, inspections, permits and licenses are handled. It is called MyGov. MyGov is a Software as a Service (SaaS) program; a new avenue for providing a more cost effective service to local governments. This means that MyGov provides the software through the Internet to the City. They also handle all updates, maintenance, servers and technology. The City and public just login and use it. This is the way technology is progressing and by doing so, it saves time and money for the Cities. This means there is no software to buy; No updates to buy; No hardware maintenance to provide; No server(s) to purchase to run the software, etc. Servers used to run the software are all up-to-date with the current technology.
Earlier this year the staff began programming and testing the system and is now pushing out the first module for the public to view and use. It is called Request Tracker. This module will handle any requests and concerns which citizens feel the City should be aware of. And, it can all be done online. You can report a concern and remain anonymous if you like. But, should you want to be kept updated on the status of your request, all you need to do is provide your name, phone number and an email address. Keep in mind, if you don't provide your information, we will not be able to keep you updated on the progress of the case. As the request progresses through the system, you will receive an email every step of the way advising you of it's current status.
We encourage you to try this new system.
